Wedding ceremonies are made extra special at Peace with nature’s curtain of tall trees that surround the sanctuary. Our sanctuary seats 250 for services. Our Fellowship hall seats 150 for a meal, plus a large Youth commons for additional seating of 100+. Our guidelines for wedding ceremonies at Peace Lutheran are available upon request.
The guidelines detail the arrangements and expectations such as pre-marriage counseling, faith commitments, event scheduling, use of building, and our deposit/fee structure. Initial discussions and arrangements will be handled by the pastor. Please call the church office at 320-685-7656 to schedule an appointment at your convenience.
Holy Baptism is celebrated at Peace during regular Sunday worship service, in participation with the entire congregation. We believe the welcoming of God’s children is a community event. Parents and sponsors will present the child for baptism to the pastor at the baptismal font. Children of the congregation are also invited to come to the font and witness the christening.
The Peace tradition provides for a member of the congregation who will accept the child for presentation to the congregation for prayers and welcoming. Initial discussion and arrangements will be handled by the pastor. Please call the church office at 320-685-7656 to schedule an appointment at your convenience.
Anniversary parties or other milestone events can be arranged by members to be held in the Fellowship Hall. These events are typically held on Sunday mornings for celebration with the congregation family. Other scheduling options may be available. All member celebrations held at Peace must be approved for scheduling availability.
If you are a non-member seeking event space for a celebration, we ask that you contact a church member, council person, or lay leader for an initial discussion. Non-member use must be approved by the church council.
Funerals and special remembrance events can be held at Peace Lutheran. We strive to offer compassionate support and assistance to families who must manage this task. Our guidelines for funeral services are available upon request.
These guidelines detail the arrangements and expectations of our services such as pre-planning prayers, scripture and music, visitation/reception services, general use of building, and deposit/fee structure. Initial discussion and arrangements will be handled by the pastor. Please call the church office at 320-685-7656.
Peace Lutheran is a partner affiliate of the Garden of Peace Cemetery located on the church property. Please call the church office at 320-685-7512 if you would like more information about internment.
Other Requests for celebrations may be available for hosting at Peace Lutheran, with permission. We request that community events are organized through partnership with a congregation member. In some cases, we may require damage deposit for larger events.
